We welcome those who wish to hire a rink or two this summer to have a roll up or game with friends. Often called ‘barefoot bowls’ – we’d rather like you to wear flat soled shoes – but it is a great way to spend a summer afternoon or evening!
We can offer rinks on most Wednesday or Friday evenings when we are open for club nights from around 6pm. We can also offer rinks on some weekday afternoons by arrangement. Our bar will be open and you can enjoy a drink while playing. We are fully booked on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

If you’ve always wanted to give it a go – why not come along and have a game. We offer the opportunity to play by lending you a set of bowls and offering advice. All you need are flat soled shoes.

South London Bowling Club had a very successful season in 2023! Firstly, our Men’s Triples team were are the Wimbledon and District League champions with the Men’s Fours Team runners up.
In the Leagues, we won the Wimbledon and District Midweek Triples League Division 2 earning promotion to Division 1. At the weekends we won the New Surrey League Triples and came second in the Wimbledon and District Fours. Well done to all involved and we look forward to the competitions in 2024!
We are offering half price membership to those who take out full membership of the club for the 2024 season. This enables you to come along and roll up anytime the green isn’t being used for a match, join in club evenings and play in teams for our league matches at weekends or mid week. Final preparations to the green are being made for the club to reopen in April. We are waiting for the weather to get a bit warmer, and a bit drier…

The green is going through its final preparations to reopen on 27th April. We are looking forward to welcoming bowlers from Wednesday ready for our first match on the 1st May…
The club was recently transformed into a Working Men’s Club for the purposes of a film being entered into the 2022 DAFTA short film competition. The various scenes were shot in the clubhouse and bar. We were delighted to hear that the film is a triple award winner!! The film won Best Spoof, Best Writer and Best Editing. Well done James and team…
